ADDED: Just a quick edit...please don't get me wrong. There are tons of popular artists who are down to earth the nicest people I've seen. To name a few, , are a few of them.

This journal was more of a thought to those who have decided to walk away from their friends to make friends who are more popular.

Popularity is one subject that I barely touch on, just because I'm not too concern about it myself. There's nothing wrong about people wanting to be popular, it's part of people's ego I guess.

But what truly disgusts me about popularity is when you see people, who you have treated them well, totally shoved you aside and not even bothering talking to you just because your drawings suck, and you're not popular at all. All you see from them is kissing up to other better drawn artists. And all they complain about is, "Oh, I used to get more than 1000+ favs whenever I submit, and now I don't, what happen to me?"

That attitude was basically a slap in the face to those who have less favs. But for me, it's not because of the amount of favs that matters, but the ignorance and arrogance that irks me. I personally chose not to associate with those who are so caught up in this race called "popularity". I like to associate with all different artists who are kind and humble.

I've made quite a few friends on dA since more than a year ago. These friends have a wide range of skills. We don't choose friends based on skills or popularity, but who they are truly inside.

So at the end, feel free to shove me aside, if I'm not "worthy" enough to be your friend. I still have other friends enough for me to care for, especially to who I have been sticking with since I've met her on dA.
